The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, attacking the character, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as important members in the influential clan could enable the party reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Explorers and Planners parties.

Audiences can anticipate discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on next week.
